WWI Sites
One of the most interesting sites is practically in our back yard. That is the Saints Aerodrome. The buildings are now gone, but the spirit of America's first fighter pilots - Eddie Rickenbacker, Quentin Roosevelt, Frank Luke and others remains. They were here July to Septmeber of 1918. Read about the 90th anniversary celebration of them right here in Saints on July 14, 2008. 90th Anniversary - America's 1st Fighter Pilots.
Nearby World War I sites include huge WWI American monument at Chatteau Thierry, and cemetery at Belleau Wood (Bois de Belleau) and the Battle of Marne.
