We loved everything you suggested: the Parc des Felins, the bakery down the street, saving all our shopping needs for Val D'Europe, etc. We enjoyed the park at Coulommiers, the Fontainebleau chateau, and just relaxing in your garden after two weeks of urban exploration in Paris and London. Your book about the American World War I pilots in Saints (which was so well researched and very impressive!) gave a beautiful depth to what we were seeing and the history all around Saints. I am so glad you had a copy. I also appreciated reading the book on Saints and its history.

It was also immensely helpful for Claudine to have the map of the region for us and to show us where we were, to share her recommendations, etc. We popped into the tourist office in Coulommiers and got a few more maps and brochures, but her initial ones really got us started and made us feel much more comfortable that we were aware of the choices. Many thanks to you and to Claudine and Claude."

Can I just say again, we had the most wonderful holiday in your beautiful home. Joseph and Isobel are already planning when we may come back again because they want to stay at Saints again!! I have told them they must save their pocket money and we will see about coming back in another 2 years! By then, hopefully, Eva, Mark and baby Ethan will also join us. Today, I have completed and posted the customer satisfaction questionnaire. David and I have made sure that we emphasised how fantastic and ideal for families the house was, for it's comfort and location, and what wonderful hosts you were.

"The house was great and I have no suggestions except perhaps to tell folks how wonderful the French countryside is... we only went to Paris on two days because there was so much else to see. La Chope restaurant just as you enter Coulomiers was wonderful BTW, and Vaux was so incredibly uncrowded we have pictures in the gardens with no one else in view. Quite a contrast to Versailles. The bakery and bouchierie in St Augustin is a great walk on a beautiful country road, and the lady who owns the boucherie is a French treasure. The price is very reasonable and the home most comfortable and I have recommended it to several of my friends who love to travel."
